Developing Effective Specialized Responses

FreeHow to implement a case management approach that incorporates a specialized response for individuals with a developmental disability who also have behaviour issues and/or a dual diagnosis.
Who should attend:
Those who work as a case manager or who provide a case management function, service coordinator, community support worker, community facilitator, are supporting some adults who have a developmental disability and/or dual diagnosis and are interested in increasing their skills and knowledge in supporting this population.
The outcomes for ESR are:
Identify commonalities and differences between sectors, at the individual, family, and system levels.
Recognize the potential for dual diagnosis in a variety of settings.
Conduct a bio-psycho-social assessment at the individual and family levels.
Plan effectively with the individual and their family.
Recognize systemic advocacy and how one can impact the system.
Recognize the value of networking, collaboration, and a multidisciplinary approach.
