CWSDS provides a wide range of services and supports for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  The process to access services is different for adults (age 18 years and over) versus children and youth (under age 18).

Learn more about accessing services below.

Accessing CWSDS Developmental Services for Adults
(Age 18 and Over)

Developmental Services Ontario (DSO) is the initial access point for all adult developmental services funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) in Ontario.

To determine eligibility for services or to complete an assessment prior to a referral to a developmental services agency such as CWSDS, please contact Developmental Services Ontario (DSO), 1-888-941-1121.

Although support through the DSO becomes available at age 18, applying at age 16 is strongly encouraged to help you prepare for your transition into adult services and avoid potential delays.
