We provide a short-term, consultative service that provides comprehensive assessment and treatment planning for people with a dual diagnosis. We also provide mentoring and education for family and care providers. The Dual Diagnosis Service goals are to improve the quality of life and functioning of people with a dual diagnosis in their home and community settings through assessment and understanding from a biopsychosocial approach.
Our Team:
Our highly trained clinical team is comprised of specialists in Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Nurse Specialist(s), Behaviour Therapist(s), and Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry. Team members work collaboratively, and each has a particular expertise to assist people in achieving their full potential.
How to Access Services:
People must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible to receive services through Developmental Services Ontario (DSO). All referrals need to be submitted either by a service coordinator assigned by the DSO, or by the lead staff member of the agency that the person is affiliated with.
